Privacy Policy

Parent Chat (“we,” “us,” or “the app”) is a community app for adults who are parents or caregivers. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to you.
Information we collect
We collect information needed to provide Parent Chat, including:
- Account information, such as your authentication identifier and sign-in information. Email addresses are handled by our authentication provider and are not stored in our app database.
- Profile information you choose to provide, such as your display name and profile photo.
- User content you create, including posts, comments, messages, reports, and uploaded photos or videos.
- Approximate location when you use location features to find nearby activities or explicitly tag a post. Your precise location is not stored.
- Technical, performance, and crash information needed to operate, secure, and improve the app.
How we use information
We use information to authenticate accounts, display community content, provide messaging and activity discovery, personalize app settings, prevent abuse, respond to reports, maintain security, and troubleshoot reliability. We do not sell your personal information or use it for advertising.
Sharing and service providers
We share information with service providers only as needed to operate Parent Chat, such as authentication, database, storage, notifications, and crash/performance services. We may disclose information when required by law or when necessary to protect users, the service, or the public.
Content and safety
Content may be reviewed by automated safety tools and moderators. Reports, moderation records, and relevant content may be retained to enforce our rules and protect the community. Blocking a user hides their content and prevents further interaction.
Your choices
You can manage profile visibility, search visibility, location tags, and messaging preferences in the app. You may delete your account from Settings → Delete Account; this removes your account and associated data, subject to limited retention required for safety, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or dispute resolution.
Children’s privacy
Parent Chat is for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect accounts from anyone under 18. Do not upload photos or videos that include children.
